A quiet one before complete destruction.
Angry, blue sea.
Reaching for the top.
Sea foam like fog.
One big hug.
Threatening, but beautiful.
Trapped under the ocean’s veil.
Watching how the wave’s form shapes around the lighthouses is a magnificently beautiful image, with part of their beauty being the high level of danger and threat. If you want to see more of Ronan’s work, you can follow him on Instagram.
Amsterdam and the entire country of the Netherlands has a very disturbing lack of sunlight. Since the country in ‘under the water’ and its weather is quite moody, the houses and apartments being built have large windows so that the sunlight can find its way in. Summertime Housing is a complex of two large pixelated buildings that make it possible for every apartment to be seen by the sun when the latter is showing. Every apartment has either a balcony or a large window being further out of the building than the rest of the space. This way no balcony or windows gets shaded by the upper level balconies, since nothing is symmetrically put.
The buildings were designed by architect Bjarne Mastenbroek and the project was completed in 2016.
The goal of the project was to maximize views, sunlight and privacy for every apartment located in the buildings, while not getting away from the urban style.
The two towers have a total of 197 apartments that address the middle class. The entrance has large windows, which bring light to the interior.
At ground level 1100 m2 of public space will be realized along with commercial space and a nursery.
Below the ground, there is a parking garage with a capacity for 150 cars that connects the two towers.
Coloured ceramic walls line the large entrance portal. The patterns are inspired by former Dutch bank notes, specifically the golden sunflower of the 50 Guilder and the light house of the 250 Guilder.
The exterior facade is animated by the coloured glass balustrades of each apartment. Hues of pink and yellow form a gradient across the building and bring liveliness to the grey office-building dominated surroundings.
This project embraces sustainability measures such as alternative energy generation, low temperature heating, grey water recycling and green roofs, meeting the high standard pursued by the municipality of Amsterdam.

Ed Bemis is an artist and home developer from Oregon, who designed a dreamy home in Ashland, Oregon, which may seem simple from the outside, but its inside is more posh than anyone would imagine. The house has been decorated with many hand-carved wooden elements and its total cost comes down at $7,600,000. Everything in the house has been chosen very carefully and most of its elements look like art pieces rather than the usual house things.
The purpose of this home is to pay its respects and honor the beautiful land that surrounds it.
It measures a total of 8,880 sq feet and it blends perfectly with the natural envoironment.
It was completed in 2016 and is now being sold for $7,600,000 or $30,958 in monthly mortgage.
The entire house has round edges in order to be in a more harmonic relationship with the natural environment.
The living room is like a merging of the indoors and the outdoors, with plants and large rock planters creating a more romantic atmosphere.
The living room’s grand wood-burning fireplace is inlaid with a glass mosaic of two dragons intertwined with their bodies creating the shape of a heart.
The master bedroom is the room with the most incredible views of the valley.

If you’ve been or heard about Crete, then you know that Chania is the largest city of the island. The history of Chania goes back to the Minoan civilization, where many archaeological excavations indicate the existence of the town. Now, the city is cut in half: the first half belongs to the old town and the second half is the modern city, which is bigger. Kasteli, which is the center of the old town, has been inhabited since the Neolithic era and is placed on a hill. It is a lot quiet compared to the rest of Chania, which gets thousands of visitors around the year. If you are wondering why you should visit Chania and especially the Old Town, you should read these points.
1. Walk on the waterfront of the Venetian harbour
Like any other greek island, walking next to the sea is the obvious and more necessary thing on your ‘to do’ list.
2. Walk around the alleys of the Old Town
Like any old town, walking in the narrow alleys, where cars are not allowed will give you the opportunity to explore the ins of the place by seeing its most hidden beauties.
3. You need to see the old architecture of the city
Either you are or you aren’t a fan of architecture, seeing buildings that go centuries back will amaze you and make you appreciate the older times. The Old Town in Crete is full of examples of buildings that have witnessed great parts of its history.
4. Sit and enjoy your coffee along with some breakfast
There is nothing more greek than sitting down for an hour or two to enjoy your morning coffee along with your breakfast. Choose a place near the sea and enjoy your time.
5. Visit museums and other attractions
The Maritime Museum of Crete, the Archaeological Museum, the Botanic Park & Gardens of Crete and the The Monasteries of Akrotiri Peninsula are just a few of the magnificent landscapes that you can visit while in Chania.
6. Reach the beach of Balos
You will need to plan your entire day in order to get here, since it will get you a lot of time and a bunch of sweat to reach Balos. But, if you manage to arrive, you will see that all your troubles were justified.
7. Elafonissi is another must-visit beach
Elafonissi is at the isolated southwest coast of the island and two hours by car from Chania. The sea is one of the best (if not the best) that you will see in your entire life and the area is the last stop for birds that travel to Europe and Asia.
8. Take advantage of the Samaria Gorge for a real adventure
This deep gorge goes for 18 kilometers and large boulders are everywhere along the path. If you are determined to walk it all, you have to make sure that you wear good shoes and carry a lot of water with you.
Crete is undoubtedly one of the top 5 places to visit in Greece and nobody has ever regretted visiting it. Even Greek people set a life goal of visiting the large island at least once in their lifetime.
What the Niagara Falls are famous about is their powerful and unique waterfalls. People from around the world travel there just to take a glimpse of these waterfalls, but there are times when even the falls freeze during the winter. While the entire falls have never and will never freeze in their entirety, since 3,000 tons of water flow the edge, but some of the water will freeze with the rest growing a thin shell of ice. The images that people have taken are pure magic and we guess that many of you would love to see this spectacle from a close distance.
If you’ve ever watched Mr. Robot, you have have created this idea about tech people that they are all doing shady things in the computers, hacking people are destroying companies with their viruses. Well, things are a bit less dangerous and more normal. Employees in tech companies have a variety of positions that do not include hacking and joining the dark web. Eran Shavit is a tech guy, who also has a passion for comics and illustrations. He decided to merge his two loves into one and show the world what his job is all about. His comics are a complete demystification of his profession.
When everyone forgets about your birthday.
When your code finally works.
How longer should he work for?
Imagine how God must feel with so many players being made every day.
Tech guy or normal person, windows updates make everyone feel lost in time.
That’s how you react to people being next to you after spending too much time all alone.
Working from home entails a lot of Netflix.
You may want to keep tech people in a different way in your mind, but the truth is that their job entails a lot of code-writing for various purposes and not hacking. Not that they don’t know how to do it, ’cause many of them are experts, but it’s not like their occupation is to hack people’s computers.

We’ve talked extensively about the magic of old yearbook pictures, where everyone’s hair was just terrible and the background was just as horrifying. Shoe company Camper used this old and classic tradition to its benefit and paired each shoe design and color with a specially styled model. The results are quite artful and super funny and we all know how important the first impression is when putting a new product out in the market. Photographer and creative director Romain Kremer was in charge for the campaign and we have to give him one big thumbs up!
A sexy secretary.
The girl everyone wants to date.
The kinda silly kid that annoys everyone.
A classic nerd.
A dork that will be cool one day.
The classic bookworm.
The guy no one wants to hang with.
This is Camper’s Spring/Summer collection for 2018 and you can choose any of the designs if you just visit the company’s website or go at a store nearby if you are that lucky.

Summer is approaching and many people are already looking to book their summer vacation. For some of you it will a relaxing couple of days at an island or a quiet destination and for some of you it will be 20 days on a cruise. Well, if this will be your first time on a cruise, you should probably know all the facts before you decide to go for it. Do you really want to spend 20 days on a boat in the middle of the ocean and make stops that don’t last for more than 9 hours? Keep reading and you will find other things that you may not want to see happening to you.
1. Pricey drinks
Cruise drinks look so fancy and refreshing and even if your trip is all-inclusive, they will find a way to charge you extra for hidden service charges and premium alcohols. And you better not try to sneak in your own booze.
2. If someone is sick, you will be too
Like it happens in your home, when someone gets a virus it is highly possible that many others will follow, which means that you should always follow the rules of hygiene.
3. Watch our for food poisoning
Actually, you can’t watch out for it. If you get, you get it. It is quite hard to keep food fresh on a cruise, which means that one slightly ruined piece of shrimp might ruin your vacation.
4. The WiFi will cost you more than a pair of Gucci slippers
The cost of wifi is extremely expensive, varying from $24 an hour to $0.75 per minute. Maybe you should think of an alternative way to get internet service.
5. People go overboard and disappear
Do you want to return back home safe? Don’t go overboard. Since 2000, almost 200 people have disappeared after jumping in the ocean. You don’t want the number to increase, do you?
6. You have very few time to see the locales
Every stop will give you from 4 to 10 hours to see the designated locales, which is quite limited considering the fact that you spent 20 hours or more in the ship.
7. It can get super crowded
Places like the pool can get extremely crowded, to the point that you will lose your friends and won’t find them again. This can be very frustrating and annoying.
8. Hygiene problems may appear
Although most cruises put hygiene very high on their list, unpleasant accidents, like a clogged toilet, might appear since there are so many people and so few bathrooms to service them.
Cruises are not the best places to have your vacation, since you could get easily robbed or lose something in all that crowd. You should be very careful and not let anyone trick you into buying something that you will later realize has been charged into your account.
